The Hawaii Horse Show Association will host its first western horse show of the season starting at 9 a.m. Saturday at Circle C Ranch, 41-539 Makakalo St. in Waimanalo.

Admission is free and events include western pleasure, reining seat equitation, trail class, reining horse, pole bending and barrels.

Competitors will maneuver through events that will challenge both horse and rider.

To get there from the Pali Highway, turn right at Kalaniana'ole Highway. At the Waimanalo Shopping Center, turn right on Po'alima Street, stay left and turn right on Mokulama Road. The ranch is on the left.
