First Assembly of God celebrates 60 years in Hawaii

The First Assembly of God Honolulu, which started in 1947 with a handful of members in a school auditorium and has since grown into one of Oahu's largest Christian churches with five regions and thousands of members, is celebrating its 60th anniversary this weekend.Festivities begin with a 7 p.m. service Friday at the Red-Hill church.
A luau will be held on the upper field of the Red Hill location at 4 p.m Saturday.
