Harry Potter 'ball' Friday at Waikiki Borders Express

In celebration of its grand opening earlier this month, Borders Express in Waikiki will host "The Grand Hallows Ball" on Friday.The free event also kicks off the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the seventh and final book in the series by J.K. Rowling.
The book will go on sale at 12:01 a.m. Saturday. Retail price is $34.99.
Guests are encouraged to dress in Harry Potter-themed costumes to the event, which will feature The Potter Spelling Bee, The Great Snape Debate and other kid-friendly activities.
This is the first Borders Express to open in Waikiki. The 3,500-square-foot store is located on the second level of Building A in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center.
