Ukulele Festival set for Sunday in Waikiki

The 37th annual Ukulele Festival is set for Sunday at Kapi'olani Park.

More than 900 players, from amateurs to professionals, will play their hearts out at the event. It runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Kapi'olani Park bandstand.

The headline act will be renowned 'ukulele player Jake Shimabukuro, who is set to go on stage at 1:15 p.m. Other well-known players set to perform include Holunape and Ohta-San. Hundreds of youth will also participate.
