The 55th Annual Hilo Orchid Society Show and Sale will begin Aug. 10 at the Edith Kanakaole Multi-Purpose Stadium.

The three-day event features more than 1,000 orchid plants on display and for sale as well as other plants and orchid-related specialty items. Many orchids available at the show can't be found in any retail markets.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug 10; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 11; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 12.
