Power was restored about 8:45 a.m. today to the last 200 of the 1,200 Hawaiian Electric Co. customers who lost electrical service about 6:30 this morning when a car hit a large power transmission pole on Wai'alae Avenue near Third Avenue in Kaimuki.

Service was restored to about 1,000 customers at 7:03 a.m. and the remaining 200 customers got their power back about 45 minutes later, said HECO spokesman Darren Pai.
