Advertiser Staff

A woman who appeared to be in her 40s has been pronounced dead at Castle Medical Center following a collision between a car and a truck about 7:10 a.m. today near the intersection of Kapa'a Quarry Road and Mokapu Saddle Road.

Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department, said the woman was a passenger in a car driven by a man who also appeared to be in his 40s.

The driver was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in serious condition, Cheplic said.
