Western horse show season kicks off

The Hawaii Horse Show Association will host its first Western horse show of the season tomorrow at Circle C Ranch, 41-539 Makakalo St., Waimanalo.

Admission is free . The range of competitive classes includes Western Pleasure, Reining Seat Equitation, Trail Class, Reining Horse, Pole Bending and Barrels.

Competitors will dress in colorful, flashy Western show gear as they maneuver through courses and equitation classes that will challenge both horse and rider. Classes will start at 9 a.m. and will continue throughout the day, ending with the Pole Bending and Barrels classes.

This show is classified as a United States Equestrian Federation Local Competition. The official guest judge is Patty Felker.
