Kaimuki accident leaves 1,200 homes without power

Hawaiian Electric is working on restoring power to 1,200 homes in the Kahala, Kaimuki, Palolo and St. Louis Heights areas this morning.Early reports are that the outage was caused by a vehicle hitting a power pole at 3rd and Waialae avenues in Kaimuki around 6:30 a.m.
