KALAPAKI
Business group to talk trash

Advertiser Staff

The Lihu'e Business Association will hold a meeting on waste disposal, "Talking Trash," from 7:30 to 9 a.m. July 26 at Duke's Canoe Club on Kalapaki Beach.

Solid waste experts Jean Camp and John Harder will review alternatives in waste disposal, including the need for a new county landfill and a proposed waste-to-energy plant.

Troy Tanigawa, of the county's Solid Waste Management Division, will discuss the county's zero-tolerance policy on cardboard waste and how it affects businesses.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
