Pair arrested in car break-ins

Two men were arrested yesterday after they allegedly stole a car and began breaking into vehicles in the parking lot of a Downtown shopping center.At 10:15 p.m. yesterday, officers were called to the center parking lot by witnesses to the break-ins, police said.
Officers saw the two men get in a car and began to pursue them. A check of the vehicle's license plate revealed it was stolen, police said.
After a brief pursuit, the men stopped the car, got out and tried to run away.
The men, ages 18 and 20, were chased down and arrested on suspicion of car theft and breaking into two cars.
