Adults 18 and older in the 'Ewa community are being sought for a pre-apprenticeship construction training project called "ComPACT: Building skills, building lives" that's sponsored by the Building Industry Foundation.

Applications are available at www.constructiontraining.org or at the Construction Training Center of the Pacific or the Hale Pono 'Ewa Beach Boys and Girls Club. The deadline is Aug. 1.

The program offers pre-apprenticeship construction training to those wishing to enter the construction industry. The foundation received a $50,000 grant from the Haseko Training Fund to target 'Ewa residents.
