Baseball: No homers for Bonds today

Associated Press

MILWAUKEE — Barry Bonds was intentionally walked in his fourth plate appearance today and removed for a pinch-runner. He remained two home runs from tying Hank Aaron's record.

It was the 31st intentional walk of the year for Bonds. It came with a runner on second base and two outs in the eighth inning. Fred Lewis then ran for Bonds.

Bonds walked in his third plate appearance. He hit a chopper back to Milwaukee Brewers starter Dave Bush in his second at-bat and struck out swinging his first time up with a runner on third.
