It's all about the way we were. The Hawaii All-Collectors Show 2007 continues today, loaded with toys, jewelry, currency, furniture, glassware, aloha shirts and a lot more from our distant and not-so-distant, but oh-so-fond, past.

Among the highlights:

  • Linda Lee will display her vast collection of vintage Ming's jewelry and appraise yours, too (limit of three pieces per person, depending on the crowd) for free. Ming's, once an iconic jewelry store, opened in 1941 on what is now Fort Street Mall and closed in 1999.

  • DJ/music promoter Tom Moffatt will be on hand at 2 p.m. to show and sell his collection of vintage Hawai'i concert posters. He'll also autograph copies of his book, "The Showman of the Pacific: 50 Years of Radio and Rock Stars," and chat about his memories of legends such as Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Frank Sinatra and the Rolling Stones.

  • Rare Hawaiian wood carvings by master carver Paul Fujimoto will be displayed and for sale by Hawaiiana dealer/collector and interior designer Karen Maguire.

  • Martin Riggs will conduct free appraisals of Beatles memorabilia.

  • Island wrestling fans will want to check out Brian Roache's photos of the 1967-68 scene.

  • The Rock & Mineral Society of Hawaii offers a display of fluorescent minerals.

  • Those milk bottle caps — yes, pogs — are making a comeback, and AlohaMilkcaps.com presents an exhibit and mini-slam contests at 2, 3 and 4 p.m. today.

There's something special for surfing fans, too: The fourth annual QuikSilverEdition Hawaiian Islands Vintage Surf Auction takes place today after the 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. preview of the items, which include:

  • A lot of six promotional items from "Endless Summer," the groundbreaking surf film.

  • A working "Surf Champ" pinball machine.

  • Wooden surfboards of the 1920s and '40s.

  • Boards by Donald Takayama, Greg Noll and many others.

The auction takes place every two years. Part of the proceeds benefit the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation Scholarship Fund. Get a preview at www.hawaiiansurfauction.com.
