The Lanikai Canoe Club capped an undefeated season by winning the O'ahu Hawaiian Canoe Racing Association Championship Regatta today at Ke'ehi Lagoon.

Lanikai won seven of the 39 races in the regatta and finished with 100 points to win the OHCRA championship for the second consecutive year.

Kailua placed second with 78 points, and Outrigger was third with 63.

Two Lanikai crews went undefeated this season — boys 12 and men novice B.

Lanikai won all seven regattas put on by the OHCRA organization this season.

The OHCRA is the state's largest organization, so Lanikai will be O'ahu's top club at the state championship regatta, which is scheduled for Aug. 4 at Hanalei Bay, Kaua'i.

Hui Lanakila won the AA division for medium-sized clubs, and swept the prestigious senior races for both men and women.

Kai Oni won the A division for small clubs.
