Bowling: Big Island's Smith runner-up in PBA event

Norm Duke and Walter Ray Williams Jr. swept Tony Reyes and Hawai'i's Robert Smith to win the Professional Bowlers Association All-Star Shootout at Six Flags in St. Louis, Mo., today.In the championship-round singles, Duke, of Clermont, Fla., defeated Reyes, of San Bruno, Calif., 258-233 and Williams Jr., of Ocala, Fla., defeated Robert Smith, of Captain Cook, Hawai'i, 259-255. In the doubles, Duke and Williams defeated Reyes and Smith, 219-202.
Duke and Williams split the $50,000 top prize, while Smith and Reyes shared $30,000.
