On the Big Island, the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory says lava is still flowing on Kilauea near Pu'u Halulu.

Lava is oozing east of Pu'u O'o crater on Kilauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes, for the first time in 15 years.

HVO field crews report that flows are ponding between Pu'u Halulu, Pu'u Kahauale'a, and Kupaianaha.

There are three to four active ponds. The narrow flow that yesterday morning was advancing toward the southeast is stagnant and not moving.
