Hawaii Shakespeare Festival sets August dates

The Bard's the thing as the Hawaii Shakespeare Festival slates its sixth season of Shakespearean play in August — in a new downtown venue, The ARTS at Marks Garage.

With "Civil Wars" as the theme, these plays will be staged in week-long runs:

i "Taming of the Shrew," Aug 8 to 12.

i "King John," Aug. 15 to 19.

i "Titus Andronicus," Aug. 22 to 26.

Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. except on Sundays, when shows are at 3:30 p.m.

Tickets are $10 to $18, depending on playdates, or $42 for all three productions.
