KANE'OHE
Recycle and eat malassadas, too

Advertiser Staff

The Windward Ahupua'a Alliance will sell malassadas during the Kane'ohe Day on the Bay Festival on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kokokahi YWCA. The group will also hold a HI-5 recycling drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and requests that people dropping off recyclables call 223-4481 10 minutes before arrival.

Volunteers are needed to help at two shifts for malassada booths: 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 12:30-3:30 p.m.; and drivers are needed to pick up dough in Kailua around noon and handle recycling drop-off services throughout the day.

To help, call 247-6366 ext. 1, 224-4496, 223-4481 or e-mail info@waa-hawaii.org.
