Global-warming talk tonight at Convention Center

Advertiser Staff

With some scientists calculating that two-thirds of some of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands could be submerged by the year 2100, global warming is always a hot topic here in the Aloha state.

Tonight at 7, Jeff Mikulina, director of the Hawai'i chapter of the Sierra Club, will discuss a new state law requiring Hawai'i to limit emissions of greenhouse gases to 1990 levels by 2020.

The meeting will take place at the Hawaii Convention Center in Liliu Theatre.
