Asia cancels Hawaii concerts

Asia's Hawai'i tour promoter has announced that the band's August concerts on O'ahu and Maui are canceled.

The '80s rock band had scheduled concerts for Aug. 11 at the Blaisdell Arena and Aug. 12 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

Michael Sponberg of local promoter King Michel Concerts LLC cited "scheduling problems" as reason for the cancellation.

O'ahu ticketholders may request refunds by calling Ticketmaster at 877-750-4400 or returning tickets to point-of-purchase Ticketmaster locations.

Tickets in will call at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center box office will be automatically refunded for the full value of purchase to the credit card on which the ticket was purchased. Those with tickets in hand, must return them to the box office for a refund.
