Fitness classes set for elderly

The county will hold morning exercise classes for the elderly at the Koloa and Waimea neighborhood centers.

The Enhance Fitness classes are from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday at Koloa with instructor April Raymond, and 8 to 9 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Waimea with Patricia Pacanas.

The program, developed by Seattle-based Senior Services, is made possible by the state Executive Office on Aging, Kaua'i Department of Parks and Recreation, Kaua'i Economic Opportunity and 50+ Lifelong Fitness.
