4,500 Maui residents risk losing refuse service

Advertiser Staff

Approximately 4,500 accounts remain unpaid for refuse collection service on Maui and if payments aren't made by July 31, service to those residents will be canceled, the County Department of Environmental Management's Solid Waste Division said in a released statement yesterday.

The service fee, which covers July 1 through Dec. 31, is $72. Payments were due July 15.

Payments can also be made in person at the Solid Waste Division office located in Suite 225 at One Main Plaza in Wailuku.

Residents should call the Solid Waste Division's refuse collection at 808-270-1730 with any questions.
