School supplies donated today at Waianae shelter

Three hundred backpacks filled with various school supplies will be given to homeless children at various shelters in the Waianae area today.

The backpacks and supplies are being donated by the Locations Foundation in an effort to prepare the children for the upcoming school year that starts next week.

Prudential agents and members of the foundation's Board of Trustees will be delivering the backpacks starting at 11 a.m. The Paiolu Kailaulu Shelter in Wai'anae is at 85-638 on Farrington Highway.
