HECO copter work scheduled

Over the next two weeks, Hawaiian Electric Co. will use a helicopter to perform work and inspections of its facilities not accessible by ground vehicles.

This week, the helicopter will fly from the Board of Water supply tank at the mauka end of Waimano Home Road to the valley west of Waimano Home Road in the Pearl City area. Flights will start at 8:30 a.m. and end around 4 p.m.

Next week, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, the helicopter will be at Halawa Valley to locations on the ridge overlooking Kane'ohe and the Likelike Highway.

On July 31, it will be used from the BWS tank on Wiliwili Ridge in East Honolulu.
