Okimoto named head softball coach at Punahou

Mike Okimoto has been named head varsity softball coach at Punahou, Buffanblu Athletic Director Tom Holden announced today.Okimoto, who led Mililani to five O'ahu Interscholastic Association championships in his 10 seasons (1995-2005), including a state championship in his final season, replaces Kara Nishimura.
Nishimura resigned, citing scheduling conflicts with the Assistant Sports Information Director position she holds at the University of Hawaii.
