Advertiser Staff

The Ho'okena Community in Puhi, a project of D.R. Horton-Schuler Division, will be blessed in a program at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the site.

The 56-unit project completes Grove Farm Co.'s affordable housing requirement for its Puhi-Puakea master planned project. In all, more than 600 affordable residential units have been built.

"Ho'okena at Puhi is an excellent example of what a partnership between the private sector and government can accomplish," said Mayor Bryan Baptiste.

The multi-family Ho'okena project has five model styles from 750 to 1,390 square feet, and units are priced in the mid-$200,000 and low-$300,000 range.
