Series of swells coming as surf to rise on south shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf along south shores is going to be 1 foot to 3 feet early this morning, but will reach heights of 3 feet to 5 feet today, the National Weather Service said. Surf will also increase along west shores to 2 feet to 3 feet.

The outlook through Wednesday calls for a series of moderate south swells to occur during the next few days. The first of these swells will arrive today, followed by another arriving late Sunday. The surf associated with these swells is expected to remain below the high-surf advisory threshold of 8 feet along south facing shores, the National Weather Service said.
