Astonomy lecture to focus on variable stars

Jerry Dobek will discuss "Variable Stars" when he serves as the keynote speaker at 4 p.m. Aug. 14 at `Imiloa Astronomy Center.The free lecture by Dobek, astronomer and instructor at North West Michigan College, will focus on the different types of variable stars.
The center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission fees to the Center's exhibits and planetarium show is $14.50 and $7.50 for children ages 4-12. Kama`aina rates, with ID, are $10 and $5.50 for children ages 4-12. Free to members.
