A North Kohala couple was charged with an assortment of drug offenses after police served a search warrant at their Hawi home Wednesday.

Police said they found 142 marijuana plants and 23.56 pounds of dried marijuana at the home on Kahei Road. Police also seized more than an ounce of hashish, drug paraphernalia and $1,116 in cash, they said.

Mark Bartholomy, 61, and Rebecca Bartholomy, 39, were each charged with commercial promotion of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, promoting a controlled substance near schools and five other drug offenses.

Bail for each was set at $16,000.
