Low scores 14 in U.S. win at Pan Am Games

Current Washington State and former Iolani guard Derrick Low scored 14 points in an 84-58 U.S. romp of the U.S. Virgin Islands today at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Low, who started his second consecutive game, shot five-of-14 from the field, including three-of-eight 3-pointers, in 26 minutes. Low also had two assists and a steal.

Indiana's D.J. White led the U.S. with 22 points. Georgetown's Roy Hibbert added 11 points and Vanderbilt's Shan Foster 10. Frank Elegar led the Virgin Islands with 10 points.

The U.S. plays Panama in the fifth-place game tomorrow at 6:30 a.m. Hawaii time.
