American Savings volunteers giving school a facelift

HONOLULU - American Savings Bank employees and their families are volunteering their time and energy today to help clean-up and re-paint facilities at Likelike Elementary School, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at 1618 Palama St.

American Savings Bank is donating all necessary supplies and manpower for this community service project.

This project is part of the bank's Seeds of Service employee program, which enables and encourages bank employee to volunteer throughout Oahu and the Neighbor Islands. The Seeds of Service program was implemented bank-wide in 2005 and to date, employees have contributed more than 5,000 volunteer hours to public, private, and charter schools, in addition to nonprofit organizations.
