'Wife Swap' seeks Isle family

Advertiser Staff

Reality show "Wife Swap" is casting for its fourth season and wants to feature a family from Hawai'i.

The show wants "a family with a welcoming aloha spirit and a laid-back approach to life." To be considered for participation, families must include two parents and at least one child between 6 and 17. Participants are paid.

The premise of "Wife Swap" is to take two families with vastly different lifestyles and swap the moms so that each one experiences a different life.

For the first week, the new mother lives the life of the family she is with, but during the second week, she changes the routine of her new family.

The Washington Post called it "a fascinating sociological experiment ... promisingly sly and serious, funny and flabbergasting."
