Wahiawa sex offender arrested after kids report abuse

Charges were pending today against a registered sex offender living in Wahiawa arrested yesterday in a case involving multiple counts of sex abuse on two children.The alleged attacks occurred from January through September 2006 but was reported this month by the victims, according to police.
The man, 53, was identified and voluntarily surrendered to police at the Wahiawa station yesterday at 5:30 p.m. He was booked on four counts of first-degree sex assault and five counts of third-degree sex assault.
The suspect's criminal record includes seven prior convictions.
