To our regret, the syndicated comic "Bo Nanas" has been discontinued, so that its creator, John Koraleski, can pursue other endeavors. In its place, we have added a new comic, "Little Dog Lost." Our new comic, drawn and written by Steve Boreman, makes its debut today in the Sunday comics pages, and will continue daily in Island Life.

The story goes like this: The Little Dog is a long way from home — but truth be told, the adventure of the open road is addictive — fraught with exploits both humorous and heroic, filled with characters both good and bad (but always interesting), and imbued with life lessons.

"What I love about 'Little Dog Lost' is its layers," says Washington Post Writers Group comics editor Amy Lago. "(Boreman) gives you a shoal-draft level of humor that will amuse any reader. The more thoughtful ones will also see its deeper meaning — its commentary on nature, human nature, and humans' effect on the earth."

Steve Boreman is a senior designer at award-winning design firm Chute Gerdeman in Columbus, Ohio. He received his fine-arts degree from the Columbus College of Art & Design and later joined the faculty there, teaching design theory, digital illustration and cartooning. He lives in Clintonville, Ohio.
