Tree work closes part of H-2 near Ka Uka overpass

Advertiser Staff

The right and shoulder lanes of H-2 Freeway in the north-bound direction from the Ka Uka Boulevard overpass to the Meheula Parkway overpass will be closed today through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for tree removal and landscape work.

Certain trees adjacent to the freeway are being cut and removed because they may pose safety hazards to drivers, the state Department of Transportation said.

Tree removal will continue through September next to both the north-bound and south-bound lanes of the freeway. Native trees will be planted in the area by the end of the year, the department said.
