Rape added to juvenile murder suspect's offenses

In addition to murder and sex assault in the first degree, the boy was arrested today for unauthorized possession of confidential personal information, theft of credit cards and fraudulent use of credit cards.
The boy was arrested at the juvenile detention facility at Alder Street at 1:15 p.m., where he is still being held pending initial second-degree murder and burglary charges.
Authorities are seeking a waiver from Familiy Court to charge the youth as an adult for the murder of 51-year-old Karen Ertell, who lived across the street from the boy,
