Big Island home in Keauhou gutted by fire

A single-story family home in Keauhou on the Big Island was badly damaged by fire Sunday.Keauhou fire Capt. Gary Sturdy said estimated damage to the home on Walua Road was $500,000. Firefighters who responded to the 7:34 p.m. alarm had the fire under control at 8:05 p.m.
There were no injuries.
