Morning showers to decrease by afternoon

Passing trade showers will decrease later this morning, except on Kauai where they are expected to continue into the afternoon, the National Weather Service said. A high pressure system far to the northeast of the islands is expected to begin strengthening later this week and will boost trade winds into the 15 to 20 mph range by the weekend.Today: Mostly cloudy with occasional showers in the morning: Then mostly sunny with scattered showers in the afternoon.
