Alert bystanders foil Haleiwa home burglary

Bystanders today foiled a residential burglary in Hale'iwa by reporting suspicious behavior to police.Officers arrived at the residence at 5:10 p.m.just as a boy was leaving the property.
The boy was carrying articles of clothing under his shirt that police said was identified by a 35-year-old man who lives at the home.
The boy was arrested as a juvenile for first-degree burglary.
