Mac nut harvest estimated 58 million lbs. in 2006-07

Hawai'i's 2006-07 macadamia nut harvest is estimated at 58 million pounds of wet-in-shell nuts. That matches a record high set during the 1997-98 crop year, according to the National Agricultural Statistics Service.Macadamia sales fell 11 percent to $38.9 million on a drop in macadamia nut prices.
