Big Island police looking for two missing girls

Big Island police were looking for two teenage girls who are missing from their homes in Hilo.

Jasmine Tripp, 17, has been missing since March 22. She is described as Hawaiian, 5-feet-6, about 135 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police also are looking for 14-year-old Sloane Macabio, reported as missing from her Hilo home since April 2.

She is described as Hawaiian, 5 feet tall, about 105 pounds with red/auburn hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information about the two girls to call Officer B J Duarte of the Hilo Juvenile Aid Section at 961-2373 or the Police Department's nonemergency telephone number at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
