Work begins in Wai'alae for new ramps, sidewalks

City crews will be constructing new curb ramps and sidewalks in the Wai'alae area this week.

Work will be done between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Wai'alae Avenue and St. Louis Drive, Wai'alae and 3rd avenues, Wai'alae and 6th avenues, Wai'alae and 8th avenues, and Harding and 11th avenues.

In addition, workers will install pavement striping and other markings and upgrade traffic signal systems.

The project should be completed by July.

People should be cautious driving or walking through these areas.
