Pick up free dye tablets during Detect-A-Leak Week

By CATHERINE E. TOTH
Advertiser Urban Honolulu Writer

The Board of Water Supply launched its 17th annual Detect-A-Leak Week yesterday as a way to urge Hawai'i residents to find and fix leaks in their homes.

It's asking all water-users to check for leaks in toilets and other plumbing fixtures in the home.

In an effort to help customers, free dye tablets to help people check for toilet leaks will be available today through Saturday at all satellite City Hall locations, all City Mill stores and in the lobby of the Board of Water Supply at 640 S. Beretania St.

Single-family homeowners can also sign up to receive a free BWS home leak check by mailing in, by Saturday, the entry form found on all Detect-A-Leak Week promotional flyers available at all satellite City Hall locations, all City Mill stores and at www.boardofwatersupply.com.

For those who want their own leak inspection, call 748-5041 or visit the BWS Web site for free information and conservation tips.
