Fund-raiser nets $233K for rehab hospital

The 2007 First Hawaiian Bank REHAB Golf Challenge, attracting 300 players to the Hawaii Prince Golf Club on May 30, netted $233,165 for the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific.

The major fundraiser was led by Anthony P. Guerrero Jr., tournament chair, and Michael P. Irish, honorary chair.

Five inaugural First Hawaiian Bank Fellows, selected to further their education in their fields to eventually share their expertise with staff, were introduced at the post-tournament banquet; three are therapists (Koko DeRyke, occupational therapy; Robin Palama, speech therapy; and Dawn Nakamura, physical therapy; two are nurses (Feme Alvarado and Erin Teranishi).
