O'ahu median home price slips 2.7% to $650K in May

Both the median price and volume of sales for existing single-family homes on O'ahu fell in May compared with the same month a year earlier, according to data released today by the Honolulu Board of Realtors.The median sales price for a single-family home slipped to $650,000, a 2.7 percent decline from May 2006. A total of 357 homes were sold, a 4.5 percent drop from a year earlier.
The median sales price for condominiums rose to $325,000, a 6.2 percent increase from May 2006. The volume of condo sales fell to 543, a 10.2 percent decline from a year earlier.
