Survey reveals moms spend less time cleaning

Advertiser Staff

A new survey by SC Johnson found moms today spend less time cleaning (seven hours a week) and are able to have more "me" time each week (more than nine hours a week) than their mothers.

Other findings:

Sixty-five percent of respondents believe their mothers used to spend more time on cleaning than they do now. And while the majority of moms claim to have inherited their mother's cleaning tips, daughters are now showing their moms better and faster ways to clean.

But about half the mothers in the survey said they make their children do the same household chores their moms made them do.
