Detroit Pistons All-Star guard Chauncey Billups re-signed with Adidas AG, the world's second-largest sporting-goods maker.

The deal will last the remainder of Billups's playing career, the company said in a press release. Financial terms weren't disclosed.

Billups, 30, averaged 17 points and 7.2 rebounds this season and helped the Pistons reach the postseason for the fifth straight year. Detroit was upset by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference final. He was named the most valuable player of the NBA finals in 2004 when the Pistons won the title.

Herzogenaurach, Germany-based Adidas AG is the exclusive supplier of NBA uniforms and apparel.
