Visitor Aloha Society sets volunteer training session

Advertiser Staff

The Visitor Aloha Society of Hawai'i will sponsor its next volunteer training session from 9 a.m. to noon June 23 in the board room of the Hawai'i Convention Center.

The free training prepares participants to help in the "Ambassador of Aloha" program. Volunteers learn to help visitors who need assistance in times of emergency while visiting O'ahu. The society welcomes everyone and is especially in need of those who speak Japanese, Chinese, Korean, French, German or Spanish.

Those interested must reserve a spot in the training. The society helps visitors with a variety of issues including crime victims and their families.

To make a reservation for the training, please call Jessica Lani Rich, society president, at 926-8274.
