Clouds, showers linger over Kaua'i, O'ahu, Moloka'i

Clouds and showers will continue to affect the islands of Kaua'i, O'ahu and Moloka'i this morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Some of the showers will move over windward Maui, forecasters said.

The clouds and showers are expected to diminish later today and tonight.

Moderate trade winds will likely hang around into the weekend with a more typical pattern of late-night and early-morning windward showers returning by tomorrow.

Here is a closer look at what to expect during the next few days:

  • Today, partly sunny. Scattered showers until mid-morning, then isolated showers in the late morning and afternoon. Highs 77 to 87. East winds 10 mph to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

  • Tonight, partly cloudy. Lows 66 to 74. Northeast winds 10 mph to 15 mph.

  • Wednesday, mostly sunny. Highs 78 to 88. East winds 10 mph to 15 mph.

  • Wednesday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 75. Northeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Thursday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 78 to 89. East winds 10 mph to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
